Model minus the 'Plus-Size' l DIALY OBSESSIONS

If your into fashion as I am you will recognize the name Myla Delbasio. Myla is a Calvin Klein underwear model at a size 10. In this crazy fashion world, we deem her as a 'plus-size model'. This is said to be groundbreaking but what madness.

After her interview last week on Elle magazine’s website were she was mentioned as a ground breaking plus-size model in such an industry. This article mentions that Dalbesio is what the fashion industry would—still, surprisingly—call ‘plus size.

To me personally, this is not plus size. Why would their be an outrage over a model that looks no different from other models we've seen before. Don't get me wrong, We have come farther in the last few years in fashion then we have in years but I wouldn't consider Myla Dalbesio 'plus-size' in no way, shape, or form. Whe i think of plus size I think og GabiFresh. Not only in Gabi beautiful, she is definetly my definition of plus-size.

Dalbesio and others like Robin Lawley are for sure paving the way for more exceptence when it comes to the way we see beauty. It starts with a few changes. As Lawley, Australia's First 'plus-size' model, told the London Times, “I wish we could all be known as models, rather than ‘plus-size.’ It’s skinny models who should be called ‘minus-size'."

Removing distinctions like “plus-size” would get her and millions of other women closer to that level of acceptance. Instead of constantly comparing ourselves to each other, we should be able to see different body types simply with veneration. “Isn’t this fucked? I’m a model, and I feel this way. I need this validation,” Dalbesio exclaims. And she’s right. It’s totally fucked.

Lorac Pro Goes MEGA l DAILY OBSESSION

When it comes to the Lorac Cosmetics line in general I must say that I love it all from the Palletes to their Liquid Lustre. So I guess you can say I'm biase when I say I LOVE the new Lorac Mega Pro palette. The color payoff is amazing as well as the selection on colors and finishes.

As you can see the in the pictures above the palette is a perfect fall oxford red color. It is pretty compact as well. The only thing that I can say is that it does look bigger online then it does in person although I believe that we are not cheated on the amount of product we get. Even though I cannot show you in personal I can at least swatch them for you...

Swatches (by rows)

All in all, I am pretty impressed with the quality and color payoff. There are a few doops from previous palettes but that doesn't bother me in the least. I think the product might be sold out at the moment but I hear a new shipment is set to come in before for the holidays so keep checking their Lorac website. If you've got your hands on one please let me know in the comments below if you like or dont like. I would love to know.

Disclamer: Swatches were done on bare skin with not primer, etc. Palette was bought with my own money. Not sponsored at all.

Skin Care l DAILY OBSESSIONS

When it comes to Skin Care I do not joke around. I'm serious about my skin care. Maybe I was Korean in a past life, who knows. lol
Like most women, I do not want to wake up one day with pre-mature crowsfeet and wrinkles. SO I'VE STARTED EARLY! Not as early has Korean woman, who start an 18-Step skin care routine at puberty or even sooner... crazy right? No not crazy! Well maybe a little but when your 40 and you look 30, you'll be thankfull for all the work you've done to take care of your skin.

Enough blabbering.. Here is my FAVORITE inexpensive skin care product for the month of October

Boots products are no longer limited to Europe, you may know find their line of organic skin care products at Target. I must be honest and say that this is the only product from their Botanics line that I've tried but I LOVE it!

If you have extremely dry skin I cannot recommend. One of the ingredients is Citrus and it might cause more drying and flaking in your T-Zone. Besides that I've used it every other night especially saturating it on spots and breakouts. If you have extremely oily skin, this product is perfect. It's only $8.99 at your local Target so check it out and let me know what you think.

Talking about Target, there is a new organic line of skin care out that I can't wait to try and report back.

S.W. Basics is an organic fair-trade skincare made simply with only 5 ingredients or less, and all of which you can pronounce…YES! (formerly Sprout Skincare) Their minimal high-quality, organic ingredients along with their artisan packaging makes for a skincare line that’s unique and it seems to work. With seven products in the mix (Cleanser, Toner, Moisturizer, Facial Exfoliant, Eye Makeup Remover, Lip Balm, and Body Scrub), every batch is made by hand in Brooklyn, NY and typically lasts for one year. I'm already impressed so lets see if its the real deal.
If you get your hands on any of these puppies before me, leave a comment and tell me 'yay' or 'nay' ...
